Two Communities

All-Inclusive Senior Apartments in Chattanooga and East Ridge

Scenic City Senior Living operates two independent senior apartment communities in the Chattanooga area. Silverdale Senior Apartments sits on Silverdale Road in Chattanooga, and Marlboro Senior Living is a newly renovated building in East Ridge. You rent a private apartment with your own kitchen and your own front-door key, and one monthly rent covers everything the building needs.

What's Included in Your Rent

Every item below comes with the apartment at both Silverdale and Marlboro. One rent, one payment, no separate utility or service accounts to set up.

All Utilities Included

Electric, water, gas and trash are included in the rent at both communities. There are no separate utility accounts to open and no monthly bills to track.

Free Laundry

Marlboro apartments have a washer and dryer inside the unit. Silverdale has a free shared laundry room. Neither takes coins and neither adds a fee.

Cable TV Package

A full cable television package is included with every apartment and is connected before you move in.

Weekly Housekeeping

Light housekeeping is done for you once a week in every apartment, at no extra charge.

Optional Meal Plan

Every apartment has a full kitchen. A prepared meal plan can be added on request for residents who would rather not cook every night.

Maintenance-Free Living

Repairs, lawn care, grounds and building upkeep are all handled by staff. Residents never arrange or pay for maintenance.

Silverdale Senior Apartments is our established independent senior community in east Chattanooga, on Silverdale Road. Apartments are studio-style and single story, each with its own private entry, a full kitchen and a private fenced patio area. The walk-in showers have grab bars and the vanities have tilting mirrors. Residents share a lobby with a mail center and seating, and a free laundry room.

Marlboro Senior Living is our newly renovated independent senior apartment building in East Ridge, Tennessee, and it is leasing now. Apartments open off a heated interior corridor, so you never cross a parking lot to get home. Each one has a washer and dryer inside the unit, a walk-in closet, a renovated kitchen with white shaker cabinetry and a walk-in shower with a grab bar. The building has a shared covered porch and a wooden accessibility ramp.

Good to Know

What Independent Senior Living Means

Independent living means you rent your own apartment and run your own life. You cook when you want to, come and go as you please, and have visitors without asking anyone. It is not assisted living and there is no medical or personal care on site. You have your own kitchen, your own key and your own schedule.

What you gain is a building where maintenance, grounds and repairs are handled for you, and neighbors a short walk down the hall. Most of our residents are 55 and older, though there is no strict age requirement.

Senior Apartment Questions, Answered

What does the rent include?

Your rent covers all utilities (electric, water, gas and trash), a full cable TV package, weekly light housekeeping, laundry and every bit of maintenance the building needs. An optional prepared meal plan is available on request.

What is the difference between Silverdale and Marlboro?

Silverdale is the established community: low brick buildings with private entries, individual fenced patio areas, studio-style apartments and a shared lobby with a mail center. Marlboro has just been fully renovated and has a heated interior corridor, a washer and dryer in each apartment, and a walk-in closet. Everything in the all-inclusive list comes with both. The easiest way to choose is to see them, and we are happy to show you both the same afternoon.

How old do I have to be?

Most of our residents are 55 and older, though there is no strict age requirement. Give us a call and we will talk through whether it is a good fit for you.

What kind of community is this?

Both Silverdale and Marlboro are independent senior apartments. You rent an apartment and live your own life, with utilities, cable, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance included. If assisted living is what you are looking for, our sister community Standifer Place offers it at standiferhcbs.com.
